My Weekend at the Buffalo Horror Garage Sale 🖤
This past weekend (November 7–8), I tabled at the Buffalo Horror Garage Sale at Sikora Post in North Tonawanda, NY, and wow, what an incredible experience! This was my second-ever spooky-themed convention, and it honestly couldn’t have gone better. The atmosphere was packed with horror fans, collectors, and fellow artists who all shared a deep love for the strange and macabre.

Selling My First Original Paintings
This show was extra special for me because I sold two of my original canvas paintings, the first time I’ve ever sold my paintings in person! Seeing people connect with my art on that level was such a surreal feeling. Every convention teaches me something new, but this one reminded me why I started sharing my work publicly in the first place: to create pieces that speak to people who love the weird and spooky side of life just as much as I do.
Meeting Other Amazing Artists
One of the best parts of any con is meeting the other creatives who make up this incredible community. I met so many talented artists and vendors throughout the weekend. I even picked up a new piece for my own collection from @lolliatharts, an amazing painter whose work I absolutely fell in love with. I can’t wait to hang it up on my art wall at home!

Fun fact: she’ll also be at KinshokuCon in Niagara Falls, NY this coming weekend (November 14–16), and so will I! So if you missed me at the Garage Sale, come find my booth there, it’s going to be another fantastic event.
Horror Finds & Collector Treasures
In true horror fan fashion, I couldn’t leave the Buffalo Horror Garage Sale without picking up a few treasures for myself. I grabbed some older spooky movies on VHS and DVD that I can’t wait to rewatch:
- The Grudge (DVD)
- The Others (VHS)
- Panic Room (VHS)
- The Sixth Sense (VHS)
There’s just something about watching horror on VHS that makes it feel extra nostalgic, the grain, the static, the whole vibe. Perfect for late-night art sessions!

Looking Ahead
The next Buffalo Horror Garage Sale is already on the calendar for May 30–31, 2026, and it’s growing, it’ll be in an even bigger venue next time! I’m so excited to see how it evolves, and I definitely plan on being part of it again.

This event really reaffirmed how much I love being part of the spooky art scene here in Western New York. The horror community is so full of creative energy, kindness, and passion, I’m proud to be part of it. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth, chatted with me, bought art, or just came to enjoy the show.
Until next time, stay spooky 👻
