Hi, I’m Sarah, also known as Illy, the Buffalo-based illustrator and graphic designer behind Illymakes. Working in traditional and digital media, I create bold, colorful artwork inspired by spooky imagery, nostalgia, humor, pop culture, and my signature drippy skull style.

About the Artist

Hi, I’m Sarah, also known as Illy, a Buffalo, New York–based illustrator, artist, and graphic designer and the person behind Illymakes. I have more than 18 years of experience creating traditional and digital artwork, with a style that combines bold color, dripping forms, skulls, nostalgia, nature, humor, horror, music, and the beautifully weird.

At the heart of my work is my signature Drippy Skull collection, which reimagines familiar subjects through colorful skeletal forms, exaggerated drips, and bold linework. I also create original paintings, illustrations, stickers, prints, coloring books, and handmade custom art trading cards, which I share at conventions, trading card shows, and art markets throughout the region.
