Artist Alley Portfolio

Hi, I’m Sarah, also known as Illy, the Buffalo-based illustrator and graphic designer behind Illymakes. Working in traditional and digital media, I create bold, colorful artwork inspired by spooky imagery, nostalgia, humor, pop culture, and my signature drippy skull style.

This portfolio features a curated selection of my artwork, event merchandise, and booth displays, including original paintings, custom trading cards, coloring books, stickers, and prints. It offers convention and market organizers a quick look at what I create and what attendees can expect from an Illymakes table.

I tailor my booth display and merchandise selection to suit each event and its audience. At anime and pop culture conventions, I put more emphasis on anime, gaming, and other fandom-inspired artwork alongside my original creations. For horror and oddities events, I feature more of my horror-inspired fan art, monsters, and spooky original pieces. My booth always includes a mix of both, but adjusting the display allows me to highlight what best fits each event while still offering a little something for fans of all things colorful, creepy, and nostalgic.

About the Artist

Hi, I’m Sarah, also known as Illy, a Buffalo, New York–based illustrator, artist, and graphic designer and the person behind Illymakes. I have more than 18 years of experience creating traditional and digital artwork, with a style that combines bold color, dripping forms, skulls, nostalgia, nature, humor, horror, music, and the beautifully weird.

At the heart of my work is my signature Drippy Skull collection, which reimagines familiar subjects through colorful skeletal forms, exaggerated drips, and bold linework. I also create original paintings, illustrations, stickers, prints, coloring books, and handmade custom art trading cards, which I share at conventions, trading card shows, and art markets throughout the region.
