Case Study: North Tonawanda Porchfest 2024 Concert and QR Code Poster

Role

Designer & Illustrator

For North Tonawanda Porchfest 2024, I designed and illustrated the official concert poster for Grvsshopper 2.0, featuring Cold Shot Trio and Call Me Disaster. The goal was to create a visually electrifying design that reflected the high-energy performances while standing out among the many Porchfest events. Drawing inspiration from psychedelic gig posters, I illustrated a bold, neon-green grasshopper with a striking sci-fi aesthetic, blending surreal elements with vibrant, high-contrast colors. The mix of electric blues, purples, and glowing green created an eye-catching, immersive composition that captured the festival’s lively atmosphere.

To enhance audience engagement, I also designed an accompanying QR code poster featuring all of the performing artists. This allowed attendees to scan and connect with the musicians directly, making it easy to discover their work and follow them on social media. Each artist had a dedicated QR code, framed by cohesive design elements that tied back to the concert poster’s aesthetic. Beyond the print materials, I adapted the artwork for digital promotion, ensuring a seamless visual identity across platforms. The final designs were widely shared and embraced by attendees, contributing to a highly successful and well-attended event.
